A fireball’s roar shook Trollskull at night.
A boy held beads of a deadly chain—
But who pulled the string? What mind, insane?

Eyeless shines with radiant flame,
Captain Mercer plays the shadows’ game.

To Gond’s great halls the party sped,
Where brass and cogs marked the path ahead.
Captain John scaled the temple wall,
Slipped not once—no fall at all!

There Nim confessed with gears grown cold:
"I built him, yes—but he broke the mold."
A Nimblewright lost, with fire in hand—
We took the task, by Mirt’s demand.

Into the sewers, deep and vile,
The detector clicked—crept every mile.
They found a cult in serpent guise,
Rituals writ 'neath traitor skies!

Struck down foes, tore spells asunder!

A blur of bandage, charm, and mace.

Flaming Sphere, Animate Dead, and more unclear!

Trollskull’s crew, in legend steeped—
By fire and fang, their oaths were deeped.

In Waterdeep where sparks did fly,
A fireball lit the morning sky.

A Nimblewright was thusly born.

To sewers deep the brave did crawl,
Where snakes with spells began to brawl.
Steel did clash and spells did flare,
As Eyeless fell 'neath poisoned air.

🧭 Overview

Still deep within the Underdark, the party concluded a fierce battle with spiders and a Drow. After the fight, they encountered a wounded Drow—DeSeth—who revealed himself as a follower of Eilistraee and guided the group to his enclave. On the journey, a deadly ambush by a Roper threatened the team, but they prevailed. Soon after, they discovered a bizarre being—a Modron named Mono, a construct from Mechanus. Although Mono was hesitant to join them, the group earned its reluctant cooperation. The party now prepares to infiltrate a Mind Flayer-controlled prison where the last of the Rassalantar villagers are believed to be held.

  • A Modron from Mechanus, stumbled into the party’s path.

  • Communication achieved via Valen’s Hat of Wizardry, casting Comprehend Languages.

  • Reluctantly agreed to travel with the group (following High Jinks' lead).

  • Drew a crude map identifying:

    • A Mind Flayer portal site

    • A prison where villagers are likely held.

🕯️ Drow Ally: DeSeth

  • A rescued Drow warrior who follows Eilistraee, goddess of moonlight and redemption.

  • Led the party to a Drow Enclave where a priestess:

    • Offered sanctuary and food.

    • Confirmed most villagers were killed.

    • Revealed survivors are imprisoned in an old military installation now run by Mind Flayers.

    • Blessed the party with a temporary divine boon (mechanics TBD).
